I know that I haven't been active here in quite a while. My new job at THQ is eating up all of my time.
However, since last Friday was my birthday, I decided to treat myself to a present, and decided on WarCraft 3 (since I loved number one and number two, and have been anticipating number three).
Blizzard had a signing party in Fountain Valley, CA. It was about an hour drive both directions for me, and boy was it worth it.
Bought the deluxe version of the game (it is absolutely exquisite!), and got it signed by thirty(!!!) of the Blizzard developers. Got a free poster and t-shirt to boot!
I thanked each and every one of them for supporting the Mac platform (it seems that several of the Mac team were there, including one who worked on WarCraft one, and two that did the music score for the game - with ProTools on Macs). And several told me they loved Macs, and that I should tell all of my Mac friends about the game. So, here I am. ;-)
If you (or a loved one) likes real time strategy games, run, don't walk, to the nearest store and buy the deluxe version of the game. You/they will never regret it. It is first class all of the way, from the poster to the soundtrack to the photos to the art book. Even the slipcase is downright cool. And it was released simultaneously for the Windoze, Mac OS 9 and OS X! Blizzard rocks!
Well, it is five hours past my bedtime, so I'd better sign off. Just had so much energy from tonight, I just had to pass it on. See you on the battlefield! Zug zug!
