The Mind's Aye

Every one I see,
meet,
hear,
is moving slowly.
It isn't as if they are taking their time, it is as if time is taking them,
slowly,
at its own pace.

It truly is good that you remind me that my body is here,
ready, as needed.
Otherwise, the mind exists solely, on its own terms,
not concerned with matters of the body.

The body does serve a purpose,
now and then.

I can sense the field over the frontal lobes.
But is it meant to stop things from coming in,
or going out?
Or does it accelerate passage,
acting as a proper concierge,
if there ever was one?

Sounds exist closer,
but not louder.
Clear, in a crystalline way.
The motors of vehicles;
the music emanating through tweeters and woofers;
cats gracefully shifting the locations of hundreds of little particles in oversized beanbags.

I talk without moving my lips;
You listen without the need of ears.

The pink t-shirt declares
Live Simply.
Not a dogma, not a command.
But why argue with a pink t-shirt?

There but for the grace of pink t-shirts (through time dilation), go Eye.
The Mind's Eye.
Yes,
indeed.
