The L.A. Film School was packed....
The L.A. Film School was packed. Final Cut Pro 2 looks very cool. Lots of little tweaks and several major improvements. Most impressive thing was the fourteen hundred page manual. 1400 pages! I got a brief look at it, and there is a real depth of material in it. Apple is finally doing things right, manual-wise.
A guy from Boris (http://www.borisfx.com/) was there, and demonstrated a beta of Red 2. Real 3d effects, vector art and tweenable animation. Quite amazing. And it should be, since the Red plug-in costs twice as much as Final Cut Pro!
Didn't win any swag. :-( But had a fun time. :-)
On the way home, stopped off at Staples to see if the rumors were true. They are. I now own Mac OS X. Staples even matched the MacZone catalog price of $99.97.
Woohoo!
Well, I'm off to install-land!
